To be intentional means, “you are purposeful in word and action. It means you live a life that is meaningful and fulfilling. It means you make thoughtful choices in your life. Being intentional means you actively interact and engage with your life.”
God has placed the words Be Intentional in my spirit for a few weeks now. I’ve continued to hear daily that I need to Be Intentional in my relationships, in my nutrition, in my purpose, in my work, in my thoughts, in what I’m feeding my spirit, in my writing. Basically, in every area of my life. He has required me to transform from who I was to who I am in Him. That task alone requires a level of intent that I previously didn’t possess. When I think about being intentional I think of the ability to make choices. Will I continue this relationship with this person who leads me away from Yeshua’s instruction when I know that path leads to destruction. Will I continue to eat certain foods when I have high blood pressure. Will I continue to ask God to show up when I need something, but won’t invite Him into every other area of my life. 32 years on this earth and I now know that my intentions for myself, my relationships, my health, my finances, my values, my purpose, and my integrity have all been malicious.
Now malicious may sound harsh, but hear me out. The word of God says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in ALL your ways submit to him, and HE will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV
HE will make your paths straight. Not you. Not me. HE WILL MAKE YOUR PATHS STRAIGHT. I spent my entire life leaning on my own understanding not submitted to God. How are you able to have pure intentions in your life without seeking God for His direction first? How are you able to walk in the fullness of your life without consulting the one who orchestrated your path to victory? I had no idea what I was doing with my life, my relationships, my health, my finances, my purpose, my values until I stopped trying to take the position of God.
Mindful of Me Moments was birthed from the revelation that God was mindful of me when I wasn’t mindful of myself. He loved me when I hated me. HE was INTENTIONAL about ME. Through my deliberate surrendering to Him; He transformed my malicious intentions into how He intended me to see myself. I had no idea what living my best life was until I gave up my life to live for God.
So I am currently on this journey of understanding the depths of Being Intentional in every area of my life. He reveals them to me I’m writing them down. I’m being obedient to his instruction. I’m walking down the path that He has made. Living my life humbling serving my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Intentionally. Getting a complete understanding of the Woman of God He ordained me to be.
Remember, God has always had you in mind. There is nothing that can separate you from the love of God. He loves all his children. Don’t allow tormentors to distract you from the fact that you are not alone, you are worth it, or the fact that it’s never too late to surrender your life so that you can have life. Take the time today to evaluate what areas in your life you haven’t given to God. Be intentional about adjusting them, and understand that if you’re leaning on your own understanding you’re not truly walking toward the path of victory. Blessings.
“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 8:38-39 NIV
This was an awesome post and I’m looking forward too reading more as I too work my way towards correcting the disconnected areas in my spirit and life.
Thank you so much for the feedback. It’s a choice I’m making daily. It is truly transforming my life. Many blessings to you.
