Good Evening my brothers and sisters in Christ. I pray that you’ve spent the week living intentionally and with purpose. We are currently in the last five days of 2018. After spending the holidays with family in another state, which I loved. I’ve made it back home to round out the rest of my vacation relaxing in the confines of my master bedroom. As I was sitting in bed mentally reviewing the upcoming projects for 2019 the Lord dropped in my spirit everything that I’ve learned about myself this past year. With that being said, I welcome you to “The Top 5 Things Yahweh Showed Me About Myself in 2018.” I’ll be posting one thing I learned about myself for the next five days, in no particular order. As always I pray that it causes you to reflect on your own life and inspires you to make adjustments with the help of Yahweh.
The first thing that Yahweh showed me about myself this past year was that I had no idea who I was. If you follow my blog then you will find many posts about the discovery of the Woman of God I have grown to be now. This woman that is before you was not always easily identified. My roles and titles shaped my identity. My past shaped my thoughts. My life was cultivated in sexual perversion which reigned over my judgment. I was who life formed me to be and my aspirations were designed by those around me.
So you can imagine when I received a task from God at the beginning of the year to come clean about my past decisions I wasn’t thrilled. I remember thinking, “My life is about to be over.” I was petrified that my past had finally caught up with me and that people would no longer view me as the person they thought I was all these years. With my emotions in shambles, I put my sins out there to be judged. Then something miraculous happened.
In my confession, I finally put my obedience to God before I put my fear of how man would view me. It was in that moment that the progression of what is now the best relationship I’ve ever had happened. It was in that moment that my identity as a Child of God was birthed. It was also in that moment that I was introduced to my purpose in this world.
The Word of God says,
Proverbs 28:13
“You will never succeed in life if you try to hide your sins. Confess them and give them up; then God will show mercy to you.”
I spent so many years trying to hide my sins to protect the thing that I should have been dying to every day, my flesh. Yahweh showed me that up until that moment my identity was engulfed in my flesh which was not of Him. So not only did those around me not know who I really was; neither did I. I was tired of being bound by my past. I desired to be free. It was in my freedom that I learned my identity. All of that happened in the moment that I chose to be obedient to God and not to my flesh.
So who is Tiffany? I am a Child of the Most High God which makes me healed, whole, set-free, virtuous, loyal, precious, successful, pure, anointed, wise, and loving to name a few. I am so far from who the world formed me to be and I thank God every day for introducing me to who He created me to be. 2018 will forever be a year that I will remember. It was this year that Yahweh became my number one priority and in return, He showed me how to love my true self. I finally found me.
His Word Tells Us,
“So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now! This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him. For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin so that we could be made right with God through Christ.”
2 Corinthians 5:16-21
“Allow Yahweh to introduce you to who He created you to be. That person is worth getting to know.” ~T.Nolan
Great post it really opens your eyes to a lot of different things from a spiritual point of view!
Thanks for the reply. God definitely showed me that the more I grew in Him the more I didn’t recognize who I had been all these years. He desires to make us new and if we allow Him into our hearts then He’ll do just that. Blessings to you.
I pray this post will allow people to realize the image the enemy or the world will put in front of you isn’t the one God created. Those sinful images, acts, and thoughts are all lies to keep you from seeing the greatness in Gods creation. WORLD please get to know the real you. A lot of us have many more abilities and strengths than we know but only GOD can help you see them all. Thank you for sharing yet another amazing post. 2018 was definitely a transformational year for me as well.
You know what I thought about reading your comment? Smoke screens. The enemy places smoke screens in front of us that conceal his real intentions which are to keep us from God. If He is able to successfully to do that then we will never be who God has called us to be. We will never live out our purpose. We will worship this world more than we worship the one who created it. Anything that he can place in front of us to stop us from growing in God is what he will do. After all, he stepped outside of God’s grace. Why would he want us to have what he no longer can. Thank you for consistently reading and posting to the blog. Blessings.
The enemy knows that realization of our identities lead to the fulfillment of our divine purpose so he blindfolds us so that we are unable to see who God has actually created us to be.
Great post Sis.
Blessings 💕
You are so right. The sooner that the body of Christ realizes that the sooner we will be able to walk in our purpose effectively.
