Faith Check

Good Morning my brothers and sisters in Christ. I pray you’ve spent the week thus far living intentionally and with purpose. I wanted to do a check-in with you this morning and see if your faith is flowing or running on E? We know the bible requires us to have Faith in Christ saying, And without faith, it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.(Heb 11:6) The two things that stick out to me in this scripture are: impossible to please God and earnestly seek him. We understand that faith is our ability to trust in Jesus Christ. So when our Faith seems to be fading we are essentially losing trust in God. I believe this is why the Bible says we are to “earnestly seek him.” Earnestly meaning with intense, serious conviction. How can we have full trust in someone we spend no time getting to know?

So where are you this morning in your Faith walk with Christ? If you’re worried about something that you’ve prayed to God about then your faith may be wavering. If you’ve started to take matters into your own hands after you’ve believed God for it then your Faith may be wavering. If you’ve counted yourself out or second guessed what you’ve prayed for then your Faith may be wavering.

I encourage you to get back on track with your Faith today. In your prayer time, ask Jesus if you’ve been wavering with your trust in Him. If you have, repent. I want to leave you with a few scriptures that help build our Faith. I pray that they encourage you. Blessings.

“Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.”

Romans 10:17

“But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.”

James 1:6

“But my righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back. But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved.”

Hebrews 10:38-39

“In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.”

Ephesians 6:16

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds,  because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.”

James 1:2-3
Remember, God is always Faithful. He doesn’t stop being faithful because we’re impatient.
